I
have entered my User Name and License No but the program
still pops up the reminder dialog ... |
|
 |
It
is very important to type in the User Name and License
No exactly as they appear in the email you received.
It is usually easier to use the Windows copy and paste
features to copy the User Name and License No from
the email and paste them into the appropriate boxes
in the license dialog. |

The
program tells me I need version 5 of the Windows Common
Controls. Where can I get them ? |
|
 |
The upgrade file is distributed
as 50comupd.exe. The following URL on the
Microsoft site has download links for the latest
versions of the common control :
http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/ieplatform/ie/comctrlx86.asp
NOTE : You can use the file
50comupd.exe to install the Windows Common Controls
(Comctl32.dll version 5.80.x.y) on Windows 95, Windows
98, and Windows NT 4.0. You cannot use 50comupd.exe
for Windows 3.x, Windows for Workgroups 3.x, or
Windows NT 3.x. You must install Service Pack 4
or later on Windows NT 4.0 before installing 50comupd.exe.
As with all operating system changes, administrator
privileges are required to use 50comupd.exe on Windows
NT 4.0.

What
is DCOM95/98 ? Why do I need it ? Where
can I get it ? |
|
 |
DCOM95/98
extends the support for Distributed Component Object
Model (DCOM) for Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows
98. It also upgrades some Operating System components
to the level needed to successfully install Microsoft
DAO (Data Access Objects).
When installing Microsoft
DAO, some users with older versions of Microsoft
Windows 95 may encounter the following error : "The
OLE automation DLL, OLEAUT32.DLL, could not be found
or is a older version that is incompatible with
DAO3.5. If you continue DAO will not register properly.".
If you encounter this error, you can download and
install DCOM95/98 from the Microsoft site and this
will fix the above error.
Windows 95 users can download
DCOM95 from Microsoft at the following URL : http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom95/download.asp
Windows 98 users can download
DCOM98 from Microsoft at the following URL : http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom98/download.asp
The above URL is current
as at 1 October 2002. If you have problems
with this link, please perform a search for DCOM98
on the Microsoft site. Drop us an email to
let us know if the URL becomes invalid.

I
want to backup my Paste Items. What do I need
to backup ? |
|
 |
There
are two main objects that need to be backed up, so
that you can restore your Paste Items at a later time.
In the folder that CastlePaste is installed to, there
is a file called CastlePaste.cfg and a folder called
PasteItems. Both the file and the folder should
be included in your backup. |

When
WorldTimer starts it tells me "Local time zone
not found" ... |
|
 |
This
is usually a system configuration problem. Try
resetting your PC's time zone using the Date/Time
applet in the Control Panel. Go to the Time
Zone tab and choose your time zone. Then choose
OK and rerun WorldTimer.
If this does not fix the problem, please download
TzCheck.exe
and run it. Send an email to support@CastleSoftware.biz
explaining the problem you encountered, and attach
the file generated by TzCheck.exe (C:\TzCheck.txt).
We will investigate the problem and get back to you
as soon as possible. |
